Scott has been an entertainment distribution professional for over 25 years, including 10 years at Paramount Pictures as Director of Special Markets and Head Liaison between the Paramount and MTVn executives. He also served as Vice President of Distribution at Genius Products, as Vice President and Head Liaison for the home entertainment and Universal Music divisons at Vivendi, and is currently the Executive Vice President and General Manager overseeing all entertainment strategies for ARC Entertainment, LLC. Scott has extensive experience in all channels of distribution, acquisitions, corporate strategy, and negotiation of licensing agreements.
While at Paramount Pictures, Scott played a key role in distributing the Mission Impossible and Star Trek franchises, as well as award winning films such as Forrest Gump, Titanic, and Braveheart among others. Genius Products had a strategic partnership with The Weinstein Company and distributed many of their films from 2005 to 2009. At ARC Entertainment, Scott acquired many films and managed all distribution channels for films such as The Barber, The Walking Deceased, Lullaby, Louder Than Words, Chloe & Theo and many others.
Throughout his career, he has actively sought indies with great conceptual content and strong commercial potential. This has given him the perspective to evaluate films on their own merits in the current market. This, combined with his willingness to provide filmmakers with his honest point of view, has resulted in successful distribution for many films that may not have made it to the marketplace otherwise.
Scott and his wife of 10 years have 7 year old triplets and an 11 month old girl. Scott is actively involved in the triplets’ school, soccer, baseball, swimming and self-defense activities.
